The ceremony is going to be held up a bit of a hill. And the rest of the property has some slopes and lots of grass. Kat thinks it’s not heels-friendly, Cassie encourages heels for the experienced heel wearer. You can always ditch them later and just go barefoot.
We don’t have room for parking at the cabin. So as mentioned, we’re going to run a shuttle from Andes and Bovina Center to and from ceremony and reception.
Shuttle Schedule
1:30 PM - Pick up in Bovina Center (Shared House and Brushland Eating House)
2:00 PM - Pick up Andes Hotel
2:30 PM - Pick up Andes Hotel
Shuttle will depart the reception at 8:30 PM, 9:30 PM, 10:30 PM and 11:30 PM
If for some reason you can’t take the shuttle - like you have babies that need special transportation - let us know and we can figure out an alternative.
Kids
Your kids are totally welcome! Please bring them. We are doing everything we can to make this as kid-friendly as possible. Including games and finger food.
Dogs
While we love all your doggies, it feels too much to have them join the festivities. Lula will report back with all the details.
Communications
Once you get about an hour away from Andes, cell service gets unreliable.
There is NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION or INTERNET at the cabin. Zero. Nada. Nothing. There is no way to communicate with the outside world other than a landline.
The town of Andes doesn’t really get cell service either. But you can get WiFi at the Andes Hotel. The Tremperskill Country Store also has WiFi.
Groceries & Gas
The closest grocery store is in Margaretville - on the way in from NY-28 and about 15 minutes away from Andes. If you’re coming in from RT-17 through Roscoe, there is a small grocery store and a small organic food store on Stewart St as well. Otherwise, you can also pick up some basics at the Tremperskill Country Store located about 10 minutes from town.
The same is true for gas - Margaretville, Roscoe or the Tremperskill Country Store.
